College of Letters & Science

As the largest UWM school, the College of Letters & Science includes more than 95 academic programs in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. It is the campus leader in research funding and expenditures, driving UWM’s status as a top-tier research institution. From research to student support, our alumni and donors are critical to our continued success. Your support is essential for:

  • Endowed professorships and chairs are essential to keeping the college on a path of excellence and help recruit and retain scholars at the forefront of their fields.
  •  Research institutes and centers help provide a place for students and faculty to collaborate and work.
  • Student support provides scholarships and opportunities for experiential learning, such as through study abroad. Studying abroad allows our students to build their resumes, apply classroom theory to real-world situations, and gain confidence from navigating a new culture and language successfully.
