Essential to social welfare in Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin, the UWM Helen Bader School of Social Welfare promotes excellence in its degree programs and develops well-rounded, thoughtful individuals who can positively impact society.

As a leader in trauma-informed care, crime analysis, child and family welfare and school social work, we offer powerful connections to jobs and real-world experience through semester-long field placements.

50 States Challenge for Military and Veterans Resource Center
When we have donors from all 50 states, it will unlock $5,000 from an anonymous donor to the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC). MAVRC works to address the challenges faced by current and former service members and their dependents. MAVRC is committed to assisting the military related students at UWM in completing successful transitions from the military, through their education and into the civilian workplace.
