Wisconsin’s only nationally accredited school of public health, the Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health is committed to advancing population health, health equity and social and environmental justice.

Our students learn and live public health in Milwaukee’s diverse and dynamic communities. We embrace our school’s mission to advance population health, health equity, and social and environmental justice throughout Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin and beyond. We do this through education, research, community engagement, and advocacy for health-promoting policies and strategies.

50 States Challenge for Military and Veterans Resource Center
When we have donors from all 50 states, it will unlock $5,000 from an anonymous donor to the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC). MAVRC works to address the challenges faced by current and former service members and their dependents. MAVRC is committed to assisting the military related students at UWM in completing successful transitions from the military, through their education and into the civilian workplace.
