UWM's School of Education is the state’s premier school for the research and practice of urban education, where we teach to learn, and we learn to teach.

The School of Education’s graduate and undergraduate degree programs prepare students as leaders in dozens of education-related fields — such as teaching, counseling, administrator or leader education in social service agencies, businesses and government.

50 States Challenge for Military and Veterans Resource Center
When we have donors from all 50 states, it will unlock $5,000 from an anonymous donor to the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC). MAVRC works to address the challenges faced by current and former service members and their dependents. MAVRC is committed to assisting the military related students at UWM in completing successful transitions from the military, through their education and into the civilian workplace.

One first-time donor to UWM will be chosen at random to win an extra $1,000 for the UWM fund of their choice, thanks to an anonymous donor. Gifts must be made from March 7, 2023 to April 14, 2023 at noon CST to qualify.

Whether an instructor, friend or somebody else, tell us about one person who impacted you by using #414forUWM and mentioning @uwmalumni in a social media post. Once 10 people share their story, it will unlock a $500 challenge gift for the UWM Ignite Fund, which has a broad purpose of providing funds for the greatest university needs. Earl and Kathryn Henry Scholarship Fund Match
To honor the memory of Patricia Finlayson ’62, her daughter Jill Finlayson will match up to $1,000 to the School of Education’s Earl and Kathryn Henry Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to financially challenged students seeking a teaching career. Pat’s parents, Earl ’35 and Kathryn ’35, served for a combined 55 years in the Milwaukee Public Schools and inspired Pat to teach.
